The Tripartite Council is composed of representatives of trade unions, employers' organisations and the government. . It has a maximum membership of 21 (i.e. not more than seven representatives from each party). The members of the Tripartite Council are as follows:

• employees' representatives - delegated by the national trade union associations of Lithuania, by their agreement; 
• employers' representatives - delegated by the national employers' organisations of Lithuania, by their agreement;
• representatives of the executive - delegated by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, upon its decision.

The term of office of the Council's members is determined by the institutions which delegate their representatives.
